Thank you for your review. We were saddened to read about your experiences, especially as they don't seem to marry up with any of our other reviews. In terms of parking, we have 30 spaces in the main Compton Acres car park, which we share with the rest of the complex. There are also more than 170 unmarked road spaces in the roads immediately surrounding the venue, all free of charge.
The wedding party always have use of the Italian Garden (it is roped off at the halfway point to prevent the public from entering your private event). No one is ever "penned in". Only brides and grooms and their entourages have access to the rest of Compton Acres, for the purpose of photographs.
Our bar team always provide more than enough drinks for drinks receptions and wedding breakfasts. The quantity of what is provided is usually chosen by each wedding couple as part of a package. I'm sorry if you feel you didn't receive adequate quantities of drink on your visit.
Finally, the evening party is held on the lower ground floor's Siena Suite. Our drinks prices are comparable to all other local hotels and venues, and are reviewed annually. There is a digital sound limiter and the Siena glass doors must stay closed, as music up to 96db would be enough to wake residents in neighbouring properties. We always provide "access to the outside world" via the ground floor's courtyard, so we are sorry if you felt trapped in any way.
In terms of the DJ being rude, if you are able to let me know which wedding you attended, I can investigate that further, but couples are able to bring in any DJ or band they choose, and these are not the responsibility of the venue.
If you'd like to discuss any of the above points, please do get in touch.
With kind regards,
The Italian Villa
