Having had to cancel our wedding abroad, we never thought we would find somewhere more amazing than what we had originally planned. Our micro wedding at Pentillie was exactly what we wanted. The staff were incredible, not only did we feel at home with our small party of guests but we also felt extremely spoiled by the team the whole weekend. Nothing was too much trouble and we only had to think of something and it was arranged without hassle. We couldn't imagine anything more perfect.

We were surprised by how many people said that we did the very best thing by eloping - we had the day we wanted without worrying about anyone else, and it looked absolutely fabulous. We chose Pentillie for its unspoilt natural beauty - and we were not disappointed with our big day! Despite it being February, the weather was glorious. We married in the riverside Bathing Hut which has a large window looking onto the River Tamar, and throughout the ceremony the sun streamed in - all we could see was the river and the glorious sunshine. After the ceremony, we had photos taken around the grounds. Everyone we've showed the photos to has admired the setting, with many asking when they can visit themselves.

Pentillie is a beautiful venue in a fantastic setting which along with the ability to have our closest friends & family stay with us for the entire weekend is what made it stand out. The staff however are what make it special. Chrissie & Stephen anticipated our every need on the day. If we wanted something, it was already done. They were like magic wedding fairies making sure that we didn't have to think about a thing and that everything ran perfectly. I cannot overstate how fantastic they were.

We have just had our wedding reception at Pentillie Castle, and it truly was the most wonderful day! From the moment we met, Pentillie's wedding co-ordinator Chrissie went above and beyond to make our dreams come true. She was always so friendly and happy to chat over even the smallest details, was incredibly helpful with all of our questions, and made every aspect of planning our Pentillie wedding into a really special and personal experience.
We were drawn to Pentillie's beautiful grounds and outdoor spaces which all lend themselves to stunning photo opportunities, but we were equally impressed by the indoor areas, which are beautifully decorated and we and all of our guests greatly enjoyed our time there. Our guests all said how much they loved their sytlish and elegant bedrooms and the amazing breakfast the next morning too.
On the day, nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. Stephen, Linda and all of the team were fantastic, working behind the scenes, looking after our guests and keeping the day running smoothly.
Pentillie is a magical place for a wedding and we would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a truly special venue. We could not have chosen a more perfect place to celebrate our special day!

Not only is Pentillie a beautiful venue situated in a wonderful riverside location. Each and every member of staff, from our wedding planner Lisa to the cleaners the morning after, we’re extremely helpful and friendly and could not do more for you. We enjoyed our experience so much and have booked our year one anniversary back at Pentillie.
