We held our wedding reception in the Ballroom of the New Continental on 24/9/16, and everything was absolutely flawless. Throughout the planning process, Katie was incredible - nothing was too much hassle and she would bend over backwards to make sure everything was okay for us. If we ever had questions she gave us all the information we needed, and my new wife and I truly believe that our planning was 100% stress free almost entirely because of how great Katie was.
The food was delicious - our menu included the caesar salad or tomato & basil soup starter; the roast chicken, twice cooked belly pork, or mediterranean couscous mains; and the apple pie or cheesecake with raspberry sorbet desserts; every single person in the room loved the meal they were served. What's more, the bride & groom's desserts were decorated beautifully by the hotel's professional chocolatier with a stunning chocolate sculpture made especially for us! We found out later that he makes them unique to every bride & groom, so no two weddings have the same!
All the staff were lovely, welcoming, and kind. We felt like they couldn't do enough for us on the day, especially Simon who you could tell genuinely loved being our master of ceremonies! The four-poster room we had was beautiful too, it all felt so luxurious.
The changeover between the meal and the evening party was discrete and fast as well, everybody was having a great time and the staff rearranging the room did so without disturbing anyone.
