We wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone involved in the planning and preparation for our wedding on New Year’s Eve 2018. From the very first meeting and initial booking the professional service was evident. Steph, the wedding co-ordinator was particularly helpful and ensured that all our ideas moved from plans to reality. We decided to hold the ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening reception all in the Cavendish ballroom and we were amazed how quickly the staff transformed the room to the next event. All of the small details that we had wanted were put into place and the room looked absolutely stunning. A big thank you to the outside companies, West Country Wedding Planner for the hire of the giant LOVE letters that lit up the room and to Sophie Astridge for the floral arrangements she added to the candelabras supplied by the hotel. The staircase at the centre of the hotel proved to be an amazing backdrop for our professional photographs by Helen Court Photography. With it being NYE everybody in our wedding party was up for a great day & evening, the food was great and the drinks package was tailored for our personal wishes. Between the wedding breakfast and the evening reception the use of the Nelson’s bar was a great success as it meant our guests could mingle and although a busy evening in the hotel, everything felt very private and personal. We would thoroughly recommend the Mercure Rougemont Hotel as a wedding venue as we had an absolutely amazing day and were made to feel very special by all the staff
Dear Mercure Rougemont Staff I just wanted to drop you a quick line to thank you all so much for everything you did for our amazing wedding. The venue is so spectacular and catered for the British weather as we had a lot of photos taken on the beautiful stair case. We were however so lucky to have nice weather and was able to take advantage of the Northernhay grounds across the road. From the initial meeting right the way through until the day, all staff were so attentive, professional & ensured our day ran so smoothly. The food was phenomenal, and all guests complimented us on the choice of menu. The drinks package was designed for us & exceeded all expectations. The day was the best day of our lives & you all contributed to that, we had a lot of guests staying on the night of the wedding & even down to ensuring we all had breakfast together was such a nice touch. As the bride I was made to feel the most important person there on the day & Mark my husband was blown away with the service you all provided, we could not fault anything at all. I just wanted to thank you for the great service you gave us for our wedding in April. Your care, flexibility, organisational skills, clear communication and understanding of what we wanted gave us exactly the kind of event we'd imagined. You always made yourself available for meetings with me and it was evident that you were keen to meet our needs from day one. Also, thanks for being so understanding when I had to postpone the original wedding date. The fact that the event ran smoothly meant that it was memorable for all the right reasons. Please also mention to the waiting staff on that day that they struck just the right note in being available for us whilst also giving us the space to relax. The food was also great.
