On the 18th December 2010 I woke up on my wedding day to find it had snowed... a lot! Maria turned up early and took some amazing photos of myself, my parents and bridesmaids,. She was totally calm and kept reassuring me that everything would be fine. Maria offered to drive one of my bridesmaids to the venue as she was a bit worried about driving herself. The usual 20minute journey took us about 3 hours and we ended up being very late! Maria took some brilliant photos of us out in the snow, one even make the front page of our local paper! Maria definitely put in the extra effort that day and I don't know what we would have done without her! Maria definitely deserves this award!!!
Maria was so much more than just a photographer in our wedding day and beyond. Included in her package was a pre wedding shoot-which was brilliant. It gave us a chance for my husband and I to get to know Maria and vice versa. This meant that on the day we felt totally comfortable having her there and the taking of photos was really relaxed. It also meant we had extra time to tell Maria about members of our family with additional needs and tell our family all about her too so that they felt more comfortable when they met her. And to the day itself - Maria was just amazing. She was so experienced and her help with timings and organisation was invaluable. From gently suggesting the make up artist put her bacon sandwich down and got on with my make up as time was marching on to helping my mum and sister do up my wedding dress - and get truly relaxed and special photos of this time too. She was absolutely at ease with my husband's autistic brother and got some wonderful photos of him with the other ushers as he felt reassured by her calm manner and directions. During the service we didn't even notice she was there and the moments she captured are fantastic. At the venue after the ceremony she had a quite a list of photos we hoped to get through but at no time did we feel pressured or rushed - and again such natural, amazing photos. This amazing customer service, attention to detail and friendly, calm manner continued through the meal, speeches and to the first dance. Even though we were running late Maria stayed far longer than was expected to capture some great fun photos of the guests on the dance floor. Beyond the wedding Maria has always gone above and beyond with her time and sparkling smile to ensure we were happy with our photos and albums. And unsurprisingly we have stayed in touch since our wedding five years ago. With her taking beautiful photos of our family when our son was born. I've taken every opportunity I can to recommend this amazing lady to friends for their weddings and family portraits and they have been so impressed with her stunning photos and getting the opportunity to work with such a lovely lady. I hope this goes some way to show the truely wonderful personality Maria is and to show just how her hard work and long hours are so valued and appreciated. Her photos are memories to treasure forever and so is her friendship.
Maria always goes out of her way to ensure that their day is enhanced by the photographs she takes. She makes it fun, keeps even the most challenging guests on-side and then provides a stunning way of remembering a brilliant day
Maria is my families official photographer. Every photo taken is lovely and the boys are relaxed which is shown in the photographs and she captures their personalities' without them realising a photo has been taken.
