We wished to marry in West London, as that's where we and many guests live, and it would make it as easy as possible for guests from other parts of the UK and the world. We considered several venues and were immediately taken with the quality and value offered by the Clayton Hotel. Our early contacts with the team gave us confidence that we would be well looked after and we would have all the support needed to make a special and enjoyable day.
We found Ciara and Sarah to be very supportive and helpful throughout. Our was a challenging situation, as Wilma lived in Sierra Leone at the time, and would arrive less than two months before the wedding. I wanted Wilma to have as much involvement in planning as possible, but there would be little time. To add to the complexity, our celebration would need to be suitable for both West African and British families and friends and with many children. The team helped me work out what decisions could be postponed until Wilma arrived, and once she was here they were all-hands-on-deck to help us plan the day in detail. It gave us great confidence to know that Sarah had spent several years coordinating weddings.
It was clear from beginning to end that the whole team are passionate about helping to make memorable and personal weddings and receptions. The options were always laid out clearly to us, with helpful advice where we needed it. They were always willing to work with our suggestions, and there was never any pressure to add extras or go beyond budget.
It would be hard to find fault with anything, and we and all our guests had a terrific day. That makes it hard to pick out specifics. I was impressed by the space, facilities and the warmth of the decor. Wilma was impressed with the attentiveness of the staff. All our guests with children commented on how well the children were catered for, which was something we and the wedding team had worked hard for.
We would both highly recommend the Clayton for the excellent wedding co-ordination, terrific catering, service, space and facilities, and its central location and accessibility. We love being close to the place we celebrated our marriage, as it can become a place we return to.
