Granted to Anne of Cleves by King Henry VIII, the house has a long and colourful history. From its early days as a lodging house for pilgrims to its present role as a historic house museum, Anne of Cleves House has been providing a warm welcome to visitors for over six hundred years.

The East Room with its original oak beams, leaded windows and huge medieval fireplace offers the perfect romantic setting for your civil ceremony. An audience of up to fifty guests may share in your special day in the East Room and adjoining Tudor Garden. The peaceful and colourful garden provides an unforgettable backdrop for your wedding photographs and is the perfect location for drinks and canapés after your ceremony and before your wedding breakfast.
