We booked our wedding at Billesley Manor Hotel back in February 2016 to take place in the December of that year. Throughout the process of organising the event, the staff at Billesley Manor were nothing but courteous, helpful and organised! In particular, our wedding co-ordinator, Naomi, was truly outstanding; alleviating any stresses and worries sometimes associated with organising a big event.
Billesley was the ideal location for a Winter Wedding. Our ceremony took place in the regal Great Hall; complete with very large festive Christmas tree, large fireplace and mezzanine area where, in addition to our seated guests, some of our guests stood to watch the wedding take place. It was a truly lovely, historical and intimate setting!
Our reception took place in the topiary suite. If you visit, don't be put off by it's initial apparent blandness. For the wedding breakfast and reception, the walls were dressed with drapes and up-lighting which absolutely transformed the location.
The grounds were stunning. There is a "small lake" and large hotel grounds complete with a fantastic maze area, where we had our wedding pictures taken. Between the wedding breakfast and the reception, the hotel organised fireworks on the grounds themselves which was a fantastic transition into the evening "do", especially on a chilly winter night! So many of our guests commented on how impressed they were with the hotel and setting.
The hotel honeymoon suite was superb; 4 poster bed, lovely views of the grounds and one of the largest bathrooms I have ever seen!
In closing I can honestly say that Billesley Manor Hotel staff truly made our big day the best day of my [our?!] lives! If you are looking for a friendly, personalised and aesthetically beautiful location to get married in, this is for you. I can't thank the resident wedding co-ordinator and all of the staff enough. Thank you.
