We had out wedding here on Saturday 11th January 2020. The service we had was brilliant from us arriving to leaving, everything was run by us before anybody else the staff could not do enough. Everyone had a smile and was pleasant, the food was lovely all our guest commented on how organised they were and how brilliant their rooms were. I would reccomend this to anybody who was looking for a function room. From beginning the wedding planning all the way through to the wedding day sophie was outstanding nothing was ever too much for her. We couldn't of asked for anything more all the staff members went above and beyond to make our day special. Thanks again
Have been holding out Sportsmans dinner at Best Western Smokies Park Hotel for the last ten plus years and every year the service has been exceptional - no matter who you deal with or how small your request may be - nothing is to much for them to help you. An amazing place to hold any occasion at amazing prices
Each year we hold our annual gardening event on a cold November night and each year we get treated to a warm reception in a great venue. The staff are very friendly, and accommodating with their attention to detail second to none. The food is always of a good quality, served promptly to over 200 guests in a very timely and efficient manner. The Medlock suite provides an intimate space to create a fantastic atmosphere for an amazing night.
We held a charity event at Smokies in 2019. I wish to emphasise how well looked after we were. Andrea Fitzgerald was our contact for the event and nothing was too much trouble. From our first enquiry in 2018 through to the actual event date in 2019 Andrea liaised with us, and gave 100%. She put us totally at ease, arranged for us to have a tasting menu, sorted prices, menus, prizes, access to the venue any time so we could sort decorations, set up for the event etc. The event was a great success and we are still to this day receiving comments and compliments about it, from the food to the venue to the accommodation. I would highly recommend Smokies for an event.
We had our wedding reception here. Sophie and the team were so helpful and professional, meaning that we could just relax and enjoy the evening. The food was really nice and there was a wide range of options to choose from. The room was a great size and accessible for our elderly grandparents. We used their venue dressers Joyous Moments and the room was beautiful. The bridal suites are modern and comfortable and fit plenty of people to get ready in. We had the best night, thank you!
We booked a surprise party for our parents 40th wedding anniversary and it was absolutely brilliant, the staff were friendly, some deserve a personal mention...Andrea booked our party in and saved a few dates until we decided on the perfect one! She was so helpful and accommodating. Jodie needs a medal she was brilliant on the night so friendly and helpful there wasn’t anything she couldn’t help with, Preston met us on the morning of the party when we were dressing the room and he was fantastic. Everyone was so helpful, I would most definitely recommend Smokies to others who would like to have a function.
I was very impressed with our hotel room too! It was super clean, modern and fresh with a forestry view! The whole experience was brilliant and we had lots of comments about the food being delicious too! They even opened a room up for the guests to use as a toilet for those who couldn’t walk down stairs easily and cut all the cake for the guests as we requested! Thank you so much to everyone at smokies we are all so happy with how it went, it was like the wedding they never had. Thanks again!
Outstanding customer service, although we had over 140 guests on the day, everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves, the continuous attention Andrea, Wendy and the team gave was exemplary, excellent event management, first class food, even the lunch which was not ordered prior to the day was produced within an hour, I highly recommend Smokies for any event large or small. Star venue with Outstanding staff who deliver above and beyond as the norm. Well done Andrea & Wendy
Once again the Oldham MS Society Branch held there annual Christmas party at Smokies and it was as ever a fantastic event from the layout of the room, service received from the staff and the quality of the meal. Particular thanks to Andrea Harris who never fails to go that one step further when supporting this local charity. Would recommend this venue to anyone seeking a first class service for all aspects of their event.
This venue is fantastic ! We are a local business and have held our annual Christmas Party here for the past 3-4 years. It’s a private event with attendance of around 120 people and absolutely nothing is too much trouble for Andrea and Sophie in Sales, Wendy on Reception and generally the whole Smokies team. The food of our choice is of a very high standard, the room theming which is different each year is brilliant and saves me as the organiser a challenging job! Whether they are creating the perfect Wedding, a fun Party Night, an overnight stay for business or pleasure – Smokies take pride in looking after each and every one of their guests.
A big thank you to the staff at Smokies Best Western who always go above and beyond in the desire to ensure that the customer leaves happy. We have held our annual parent/carer conference at Smokies now for a number of years and despite our long, long list of requirements it never fazes them. Special thanks to Andrea who sits patiently through the list and then ensures that everything is done and supplied as and when we need it, to a high specification and with a smile. This year's conference is in a couple of months and no doubt all our parents/carers, practitioners and guests will have a great time not realising how much work Andrea and her team have had to do to make the evening so special.
