I had always dreamed of marrying at the Balmer Lawn but having children with special needs I was never sure it would be appropriate, how wrong I was! Ruth was amazing! From all the odd requests we had with food, the build up to the date during a pandemic to the calmness she carried on the day of the wedding. We never made to feel that any requests were ‘weird’ and we were constantly reassured by Ruth that they could accommodate all our requests. We are lucky enough to have a blessing next year as the pandemic caused us to restrict numbers and postpone the evening reception. I can not wait to do it all again and feel calmer than ever knowing Ruth will be taking care of our day

We had our wedding at the Balmer Lawn on 26 May 2021. It was a small wedding and it was perfect. Lovely venue, everything organised brilliantly and all went to plan. All staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend it.

We had our wedding at the Balmer Lawn on the 29/12/19 after only 4 weeks preparation time. Ruth was fantastic and the whole day was absolutely amazing. The staff at the hotel are brilliant, the food was amazing and everyone did everything they could do accommodate some of our more difficult requests! I would highly recommend the Balmer Lawn if you are getting married!

We had our wedding at Balmer Lawn last weekend, and it was nothing sort of fantastic.
From the first time we went to view the hotel, all the way through to the day, we never encountered any issues.
The venue is stunning, and the food is even better.
All of our guests thoroughly enjoyed the day, and it was all down to how smoothly everything ran.
I cannot recommend this venue enough!

We had our wedding at Balmer Lawn on 03.08.19. It was the best day we could have wished for. The staff were brilliant, the organisation of the day and staff being in the right place at the right time was impeccable. There were points throughout the day, such as getting the buffet ready whilst our guests were all within the area in which the staff set up and I didn’t notice a thing. It was tremendously organised and I couldn’t fault it at all. Not to mention the brilliant communication from the wedding planner, Ruth- as a stressed out bride to be I was constantly bugging her with emails but it was never seen as a nuisance to her and she would always put me at ease leading up to and on the day of the wedding.
Thank you to the whole team and Balmer Lawn. We will be recommending to all!

We had our Wedding here on 10/08/19 and we had a perfect day. We chose the Hotel as soon as we walked through the door. The Balmer Lawn pulls off a very difficult trick of being a very nice hotel while retaining a family friendly feeling so you feel comfortable and relaxed as soon as you walk through the door. During our day the staff could not have done more to help us whilst retaining a friendly and relaxed approach which certainly helps calm any nerves during the day. The evening bar staff also carried this on until the close of the day. The food for both the Wedding Breakfast and evening (we chose the BBQ Buffet) was excellent as was the restaurant the evening before. We would definitely recommend the Balmer Lawn to anyone looking for a venue for their big day. I know that we will be going back as often as we can as will many of our guests who were very impressed with the hotel.

We had our wedding here on the 27.07.2019. We chose this venue as we just love the new forest and we fell in love with the outside ceremony area. The wedding section of the hotel is very spacious for bigger wedding parties which we needed. Ruth Mundy the wedding co-ordinator is very friendly and efficient running up to the wedding. If you love being outdoors this really is the venue for you!

We wed here at the Balmer Lawn hotel on Friday 28th June 2019 - just a small group of 9 - the service was held in the Club room - ideally suited for a small wedding group. We had a wonderful day - the weather was brilliant, so we spent our time between our wedding and our wedding breakfast in the hotel's extensive and lovely grounds. Ruth set everything up and was abled assisted by Jessica throughout - our wedding breakfast was also in the Club room - we all sat around a splendid round table - the food was brilliant - after our meal we chatted and danced the night away. Thank you so much to Ruth and her team, we all had such a wonderful day, and the 7 of us who had stayed the night then enjoyed breakfast in the restaurant on Saturday morning. Thank you Balmer Lawn - we loved being with you for such a special day. Cath and Olly.

We had our Wedding here on the 29th June 2019 and it was amazing. Two cultures coming together! I pour my heart out with thanks to the most amazing lady - Ruth Mundy (the Wedding Coordinator). Who took away all the stresses from me and made my journey into married life an amazing experience. Also a massive thank you to Slavo (sorry if the spelling is incorrect). Who was the function Manager alongside Ruth who managed to put a smile on everyone's faces! and kept everything in order. A massive thank you to Jessica too who was always on hand during the evening! A massive thank you to Paul - the DJ who managed to bring a mixture of music to the special day! I highly recommend this Wedding Venue for its beauty, amazing surroundings and for the fantastic staff! On behalf of me and my family, thank you for making my fairy tale a dream come true A&A :)
