After meeting 3 years ago through mutual friends on a marathon charity walk, Carl proposed to Victoria in July when they crossed the finish line. Surrounded by their friends and family, it was a genuinely lovely surprise for Victoria and everyone else!
After a year of planning, the couple wed surround by the people and things they loved. Carl and Victoria both train in martial arts, with Carl being an England Taekwondo squad member. Carl also attends many children’s birthday parties as a Spider-Man impersonator, his favourite superhero and Victoria is an avid Harry Potter fan. So a Ninja-Spider-Wizard theme seemed only fitting AND very cool!
Victoria made the wedding cake with the top layer of icing peeled back to reveal Taekwondo in Korean, Spiderman, and a Harry Potter quote.
The couple are going to Florida on a honeymoon and have invited their family to join them out there. They cannot wait to visit Harry Potter World
Carl and Victoria’s top wedding tip: Lots of people always say it’s important to make sure on the day to take a couple of moments to go off as a couple and take it all in, as it flies by. So we had our bride and groom photos taken on 3 separate occasions throughout the day which allowed us to disappear for 30 minutes at a time to reflect and enjoy the day. It also meant that we weren’t away from our guests for a long period of time.
