Vicky and Lalit met at work and clicked immediately when Vicky joined Lalit's team. After two and half years together, Lalit proposed on a romantic trip to Verona, the day before Vicky's 30th birthday. As they stood on the historic Ponte Pietra overlooking the river, Lalit got down on one knee asked Vicky to marry him with a gorgeous halo emerald cut ring.Â
The wedding ceremony and reception were both at the beautiful Morden Hall in South London, at the end of September. "Even though the venue is in London, as it was in a National Trust Park it felt like we were in the middle of the country," said Vicky. The couple decorated the venue with an elegant navy and blush theme, with touches of copper for an on-trend feel. The food was perfect for a late summer wedding, with strawberry and mint Pimm's for welcome drinks, rump of roast lamb for mains and a classic Eton mess for dessert. They switched it up in the evening with a fun split between a pizza oven and an Indian food station, to honour Lalit's side of the family.Â
When to came to picking out her perfect wedding dress, the bride knew exactly what she wanted. "I’ve always loved the romantic style of Maggie Sottero and I knew I wanted a fairly fitted dress with a lot of lace," says Vicky about her gorgeous gown, Mirelle by Maggie Sottero. "It was the second dress I tried on and I couldn't stop smiling!" Vicky paired her gown with a diamond Tiffany necklace that Lalit had bought her for her 30th birthday, and an elegant bouquet of hydrangea and roses in pastel shades.
