After getting chatting online and realising they had exactly the same birthday, Ricky and Amy quickly became inseparable. On the one year anniversary of their first date, Ricky proposed on the doorstep of their brand new home with a beautiful diamond ring.
The couple chose The Crazy Bear for their wedding and reception - they loved the opulent style of the venue and wouldn’t have wanted to celebrate anywhere else. Given the indulgent décor, they opted for an understated colour scheme with Ricky, his ushers and the Maid of Honour wearing blue, and chose white flowers with dark foliage and berries.
As the couple celebrated their wedding day in the Autumn, they placed vases with lights and golden pine cones on the tables for a warm, natural look. Amy had turned their spare bedroom into an arts and crafts room in the lead up to the wedding - making the table plan, place cards and a scrabble game where their guests could leave them messages on wooden hearts.
Amy got ready at their house with her Maid of Honour - they have been best friends for 26 years and sharing this special moment with her over a glass of champagne was just perfect. Amy later walked down the aisle with her Father and Step Father on each arm to the Superman theme music by John Williams! Superman was one of her favourite films growing up, and her choice of music was certainly a surprise for her guests (which you could tell from the laughs)! They then celebrated their reception with The Crazy Bear’s famous canapés and a delicious three-course meal. The whole day was even more perfect than they could ever have hoped for.
