Olivia and Mark - A Soft Grey and Lavender Themed Wedding in Kent

On a sunny day in July 2018, Olivia and Mark had a stunning Summer wedding at a gorgeous country house wedding venue in the Kent countryside. They tied the knot  in the elegant Orangery of Hayne House. "The Orangery was still just drawings when we viewed the venue, and it felt exciting being one of the first couples to marry in it," says bride Olivia. "Sam and the whole team were lovely to work with!" 

To match the light and airy feel of the beautiful venue, Olivia and Mark opted for a soft pastel palette of dove greys and lavenders. Olivia's six bridesmaids wore gorgeous beaded Art Deco gowns in pale lavender from Boohoo, and the entire bridal party carried simple gypsophila and lavender bouquets created by the groom's aunt to match the theme. Olivia even had matching sprigs of flowers plaited into her amazing long braid, which was created by W4 Hair and Beauty. 

The groom himself and his ushers looked dapper in grey tails from Moss Bros, which they paired with traditional waistcoats (Mark's stood out thanks to the lavender embroidery) and soft satin ties and pocket squares. We especially love how sweet the page boy looked in his shorts, waistcoat and purple bow-tie combo! 

The ceremony took place in the Orangery, with the French doors thrown open to let the outdoors in. The bride and groom welcomed a very special guest in the form of their four-legged ring-bearer, as their family dog brought the ring up the aisle! After Mark and Olivia tied the knot, the Orangery was transformed for the wedding breakfast, where guests enjoyed a variety menu of beef and ale pie, chicken wrapped in Parma ham, asparagus risotto and Mediterranean meats and cheese made by caterers Touchays. 

Olivia and Mark were generous with their favours, in that they had a whole table of goodies for guests to take away! The Favour Table included flip flops, sweets, homemade Hartley jam and mini portable fans to plug into people's phones. "It was a VERY hot day, so these went down a treat!" says Olivia.
