Mutual friends of Laura and Simon had spent a year trying to bring the pair together. At last, on Simon's birthday, their paths finally crossed and soon, much to everyone's joy, the two became a couple! Little did Laura know whilst jokingly pointing out engagement rings in a jeweller's shop window, on a weekend away in Harrogate, that Simon would propose over dinner.Â
Ahead of the wedding day, Laura and her bridesmaids spent the night at The Kings Arms hotel, waking up to a little glass of champagne with which to toast the celebration ahead. Having got ready together, the girls arrived as St. Martin's Church in Ruislip, a significant choice with familial ties for both Laura and Simon. It was on a mid-April day that the couple exchanged vows, nestled within the beautifully dressed church. The newlyweds emerged out into the sunshine and passed through a flurry of confetti, where a vintage Jaguar was ready to whisk them to their reception.Â
Sparkling drinks and canapés (set to a pianist) were waiting in the garden of The Kings Chapel in Old Amersham for guests to enjoy, moving into a traditional wedding breakfast and celebratory, heartfelt speeches. Thoughtful touches featured throughout the decorative scheme, from birdcage centrepieces overflowing with freshly cut flowers to paper bird favours which contained wildflower seed to be planted in the garden. Here, photos of the bride and groom were taken beneath a tucked away, blossoming tree.
