Hannah and Pete – Mr and Mrs Simpson
Meeting when they were 10, dating at 16, Hannah and Pete are the very definition of childhood sweethearts. Whilst at university together in Somerset, the couple would carry out the tradition of wandering through Bath Christ Market each year, returning even when London beckoned! On the 12th of December in 2015, the twinkling lights of Bath led into a view of the Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol by night… With these beautiful sights and a festive atmosphere, there was plenty of room for a little romance – as if on cue, Pete got down on one knee, the ring chosen and ready to be slipped onto Hannah’s finger.
Hannah and Pete celebrated their wedding on Easter Sunday (15th April 2017), the perfect occasion for a fresh, Spring day. Rustic decoration, sage green and white played in with bursts of wildflowers, mostly daisies and matricharia, which created a delightfully floral theme. The new Mr and Mrs Simpson were married in their home church and held an intimate reception at the Two Bridges Hotel in Dartmoor with their nearest and dearest. Homespun touches added to the feel of the day, Hannah’s parents thoughtfully engraved place names from driftwood and Pete spent time with Hannah creating a video of photos from their childhood, growing up surrounded by family and friends – this was played as the couple signed the register, giving the guests even more reason to smile!
Emerging as newlyweds, the two enjoyed a relaxing stay in Mauritius and we wish them every happiness with the adventures to come.
