Christina and Anthony met at a Christmas work party after being introduced by Christina’s sister. After 8 and a half happy years together, Anthony popped the question over the 2016 Easter weekend.
The proposal was beautiful. Anthony arranged a speedboat trip around Lake Como and replaced an Easter egg with a ring. Anthony presented Christina was the chocolate egg box, got down on one knee and asked Christina to be his wife. For chocoholic Christina, this was a dream!
The couple wed in July 2017 at Ardington Holy Trinity Church. The wedding reception took place at Ardington House with a traditional English garden theme. There was a Pimms reception, followed by games on the lawn and a hog roast - yum! Christina’s Dad made the wooden log centrepieces and the beautiful decorations were handmade by Christina, her bridesmaids and her Mum.
For the entertainment, Christina and Anthony did things a little differently. After coming across an amazing street musician in Oxford, Joel Grainger, they fell in love with him, and a week before the wedding the couple asked him to perform and he said yes! He played the violin at the reception while cocktails were served from a VW campervan - so cool! The couple had an unofficial first dance on the lawn to ‘Shape of You’, followed by a DJ in the evening.
