Explorers Charlotte and Rory actually first met during University at a club in Manchester and didn't meet again until two years later when they both moved to London. After four years together, Rory proposed on a beautiful hilltop at sunset in Big Sur, California, overlooking the ocean. He had managed to find the perfect ring...with the help of his two female friends from L'Oreal!
The couple decided to use natural colours throughout their day, from the wedding invitations to the gold painted figs on the tables, to the beautiful green bridesmaid dresses with white flowers to complement. They chose to get married in the Chapel of Rory's boarding school, St Edwards, which turned out to be Charlotte's favourite part of the day. Walking down the aisle in her gorgeous lace Provonias gown to marry the man of her dreams and listening to the beautiful readings from their closest friends and family made it so special.
The reception took place at Ardington House in Oxfordshire, one of the top wedding venues in Oxfordshire, and after some wonderful speeches, including a poem written by Charlotte's sister, the guests got to sample the incredible dessert table - biscuits and sweets galore, even cake in the shape of apples which looked just like the real thing when cut open! Truly a work of art.
Top tip: Book your wedding suppliers as soon as you can as they get booked up well in advance these days!
