Travel enthusiasts, Amy and Drew, met in Hong Kong whilst they were both working out there. After a few dates the couple grew very fond of each other and in the words of Amy, the rest is history! Romantically, Drew had a whole proposal planned full of thoughtful elements...but he ended up proposing on the train platform in London instead. Amy said it was perfect as there was no-one around and it was a total surprise!
The couple were married by Amy’s Aunty at Mary’s Church in Hanwell and then later celebrated at the luxurious Park Lane wedding venue, 4 Hamilton Place. After the Church service, the couple headed into the park and had some wedding photos taken while the guests enjoyed a cold glass of prosecco. They were then picked up by all the guests and transported from the Church to the reception at No.4 in iconic Red London Routemaster Buses. The prosecco was flowing and music booming on the buses which really got the celebrations going.
The reception had a white and gold ‘London Chic’ theme with drinks and canapes on the terrace. The wedding favours were little pots of jam that Amy’s mum made from local blackberries, delightfully decorated with the message ‘spread the love’. During dinner, the couple organised the guests to do a quiz about them and the couple both agreed it was one of their favourite things about the day. Their guests knew them so well that it even went down to a tie-break question!
The couple would especially like to thank no.4 for hosting their dream day. They said “4 Hamilton Place were AMAZING at helping us organise and set up everything so we didn’t have to worry on the day about anything. They liaised with all our suppliers to organise delivery times etc.”
