From the bridesmaids in tulle to the newlywed tractor ride, we love everything about Alex and Lee's gorgeously rustic country wedding! This loved-up couple first met as children at school, and after four and a half years of dating, Lee proposed to Alex on a romantic birthday trip to Barnsley House.Â
For their sunny May wedding, Alex and Lee picked Dodford Manor in Northampton, a beautiful barn wedding venue set on a country estate. The rustic interior went perfectly with their neutral colour scheme and was the ideal setting for their delicious three-course meal of lemon-glazed chicken, pork belly and seasonal vegetables and trio of desserts.
The lucky guests even got to enjoy three signature cocktails after the ceremony, which they enjoyed on the lawns with a caricaturist as entertainment. Bride Alex looked beautiful in her Ellis Bridal fishtail lace gown with illusion neckline and back detail, which she purchased from Fairytale Weddings in Towcester. "As soon as I put it on, I felt special - and it felt so comfortable!" she says. She carried a natural ivory and white bouquet of foliage, roses and gypsophila, which matched her seven bridesmaids' posies of gypsophila. We love how the bridal party wore stylish off-the-shoulder tops and separate blush tulle skirts!
The soundtrack to the evening party was provided by live band Mansfield Avenue, who had everyone on the dancefloor. After the big day, Alex and Lee jetted off for a gorgeous honeymoon to Mauritius and Thailand!Â
