Tori and Jake - A Summer Church Wedding in Wiltshire

Tori and Jake met on a night out with friends and were together for 4 years before the big question was popped. After 18 exciting months of planning, they tied the knot on the 1st of September 2018 at All Saints Church in Durrington. After a wonderful ceremony, the couple celebrated with their nearest and dearest at Bishopstrow Hotel and Spa. The couple's choice of a lilac themed wedding was beautifully planned and accented with lilac bridesmaid dresses and lace chocolate boxes. It was the perfect colour scheme for their late-summer wedding. 

The Venue

The couple chose to hold their ceremony at the stunning, Grade II listed, All Saints Church in Durrington. Set metres away from the River Avon, the church provided the happy couple with a gorgeous location for the ceremony. Following their marriage, Tori and Jake celebrated their newly-wed status at Bishopstrow Hotel and Spa. The couple had chosen this venue thanks to the beautiful setting and the excellent reviews they had seen from previous happy couples.

The Fashion

The bride wore a stunning, lace dress designed by Rebecca Ingram. Tori fell in love with the dress at Brides by Victoria; she had the straps removed as a personal preference, turning the gown she loved into her dream wedding dress. The five bridesmaids dressed in floor-length lilac chiffon dresses which complemented the theme perfectly. Jake and his groomsmen wore navy check suits which the couple purchased from Next.

The Day

Seeing his beautiful bride arrive at the ceremony was Jake's favourite moment of the day. The ceremony included personal touches such as Stand By Me playing during it and 'I Love You' engraved into the wedding rings. Tori's favourite part of the day was the reception. The bride really loved hearing all the speeches and the incredible spread! The 3-course, sit-down meal consisted of lemon and thyme roasted chicken terrine to start, butter roasted beef as the main and warm bakewell tart for dessert. Delicious treats continued as the guests received Ferrero Rocher chocolates in individual lilac lace boxes. The perfect, subtle way to accent the colour scheme. The couple were especially conscious of the guests' comfort, providing flip flops for those with sore feet. Finally, the couple and their guests celebrated by dancing to the DJ all night!
