After three years together, Izzy and Matt were celebrating their anniversary with a fun day out in London - which was to end in an exciting surprise proposal! They headed into London on a Tuesday, with Izzy completely unaware that just the day before, Matt had secretly met up with her parents to get their blessing to propose.\nMatt had carefully planned the day around Soho, so that they could easily walk from place to place - which was all the better in the beautiful June sunshine. The day started with lunchtime drinks at BrewDog Soho, one of their favourite bars, before they checked in to The Soho Hotel. Amazingly, the hotel had given them an incredible upgrade to a huge room with an outdoor terrace overlooking the city!\nIn the evening, they headed out to NOPI for a delicious pre-theatre menu with cocktails, before going to The Queen's Theatre to watch one of their favourite musicals, Les Miserables. When they returned to the hotel, Matt quickly popped out to the terrace. When Izzy followed him out, their song was playing, and there was a bottle of champagne and a beautiful bouquet of peonies on the table. Before she knew what was happening, Matt had gotten down on one knee - cue lots of screaming and giggling!\nKnowing that Izzy wanted to choose her own ring, Matt instead proposed with a fun temporary ring - a sparkling Mickey Mouse ring that she had pointed out on their trip to Disney World the year beforehand. He had secretly picked it up and had been holding onto it for over a year! The newly engaged couple spent the next day ring shopping in Hatton Garden, which was the perfect end to this romantic city proposal.\n
