Hayley and Graham - A Skyward Proposal

Hayley and Graham's engagement story took them up, up and away! Rewind to March and, after a year and a half of planning, fiancé Graham made his move - newly equipped with his pilot's license á la James Bond. Fulfilling a dream of a lifetime, Graham's achievement meant that he was able to fly his parents, piloting the plane himself. Having ticked this off the bucket list, a string of bad weather followed which meant that he hadn't been able to take up partner Hayley.\nFinally, clear skies materialised and the couple took the opportunity to put Graham's new skills through their paces! Arriving at Durham flying club, Hayley watched on proudly as Graham expertly navigated the plane, did all the necessary checks and steered the two into the sky.\nAlong the way, with the benefit of a bird's eye view, Graham pointed out a few of the passing landmarks: their house, their parents' houses, Durham cathedral... Until they reached the very edge of the beach. Flying over, the words "Hayley will you Marry Me?" had been written, right there in the sand below and Graham's parents stood by waving!\nGraham had seen to every last detail - down to scouring through Google to find the exact hour when the shore would be out! Hayley said YES to a Haribo ring, bursting with happiness at the sweet sentiment. Upon landing, Graham had another surprise for Hayley, telling her that they were on their way to a jewellers in Durham, where she was able to design her very own ring!\nWe couldn't think of a better way to spend a day off work, with Hayley quite literally being swept off her feet by Graham! We wish the couple every happiness with their wedding and marriage, where, hopefully the plane will make another appearance!
