Becki and Conor - A Magical Disney Proposal

A trip to Paris makes most girls swoon a little with their hearts already considering the possibilities of where it may happen. Becki's experience wasn't much different considering her fiance had asked her parents for their blessing mere weeks ago.\nThey were going to Disneyland Paris amidst the 25th anniversary celebrations in the park and for the Run Disney France weekend; a 5K on the Friday, followed by a 10K on Saturday and a half marathon on the Sunday. Disney and running have always been an important way for them to spend quality time together, and they even ran a half marathon together last Valentine's Day!\nBecki sorted the costumes, but it was the second day, where she was dressed as Snow White, that things got interesting. Conor had been dressed as the prince from the same movie. They were to get a shuttle to the parks but Conor sent Becki down to wait for it. It got the point where she was worried that he was going to miss the bus! (Turns out that his dithering and slowness in the hotel room was so he could practice his speech and try on the ring...)\nThankfully he appeared.\nThey were running the 10K together through both Walt Disney Studios and the Disneyland Park, running at a nice pace where they could chat and admire the surroundings, yet still cover lots of ground.\nThe pair then ran through Sleeping Beauty's castle when he said to stop for a picture; this was not out of the ordinary as Run Disney races aren't too serious with lots of photo opportunities.\nWhen Becki stopped outside the front of the castle, Conor pulled her close and got really emotional, telling her how much he loved her, before getting down on his knee with the ring box. Becki still wonders how she hadn't noticed it in his short pockets?! He asked her to marry him - cue lots of other runners saying 'he's proposing!'\nShe said YES, and even somehow managed to get on French TV - see the video here!\n'It still feels quite surreal and like a fairy tale almost a month later.'\n
