Why St. Lucia?
A honeymoon in St. Lucia really is a Caribbean dream: a small, lush tropical gem of an island that is still relatively unknown. The people of the island are as warm as the tropical climate, and visitors are treated to plenty of smiles as they make the most of the island’s natural beauty and secluded golden beaches, where coral reefs beckon snorkellers and scuba divers. For those who choose to explore the island, are enchanted by the walks, cycling trails and natural beauty spots including the fascinating Soufriere volcano, with its bubbling sulfur springs.
Honeymoon in St. Lucia is a romantic, paradise getaway island in the heart of the Caribbean, offering luscious and dense jungle as well as whiter than white beaches and turquoise waters.
About the climate:
The best time to go is from mid-December through to April when the weather is at its best, although because it’s peak season the general rates do go up. For a honeymoon spent relaxing on a sunny beach, or by a pool, there’s no better time to visit. The temperature can reach up to 31 degrees celsius, and averages at around 28 degrees!
Avoid hurricane season from June to November. However, if you have the flexibility to be picky with dates then May is a good option as hotels and flights will be slightly cheaper, the weather will still be everything you’d expect from a Caribbean island, and you could time your visit to crossover with the island’s annual jazz festival. It’s no wonder that St Lucia is becoming such a popular honeymoon destination.
About the activities:
St. Lucia has some fantastic beaches at its disposal for you to unwind on. Equally, the dense jungle provides lots of opportunities for trekking and wildlife spotting, and the Gros Piton volcano is certainly an arresting spectacle to investigate on a day trip.
What we love:
The quintessentially Caribbean vibe: laid back, joyous and beautiful.
