Why Mexico?

With a reputation as one of the world’s most popular tourist destinations, a Mexico honeymoon will be warm and welcoming. More than 20 million people visit Mexico each year, drawn by the warm weather and postcard-perfect resort beaches and seduced by the colourful culture of the cities.

Key information

Mexico: the land of endless beaches, fresh ceviche, delicious tacos and refreshing margaritas – what’s not to love for honeymoon in Mexico? Aligned to all this though is a fascinating Mayan history stretching back centuries, as well as warm and welcoming locals, who will make you feel at home the moment you step off the plane.

About the activities:

Mexico offers such a variety of different activities that you can do. For many, a favourite is snorkelling with giant turtles in Tulum and then exploring the fascinating ruins nearby. Equally, a popular option is to go scuba diving in Los Cabos, or learn to dance in Mexico City.

About the climate:

January – April & December: Perfect for couples who want to soak up some sun whilst exploring a beautiful country, Mexico is becoming a popular choice for brides wanting something a little bit different. During January, February, March, April and December, the average rainfall is low and temperatures often reach 32 degrees celsius.

August – November: During these months, Mexico has a little bit more rain than during the rest of the year, but it is still extremely warm. We recommend avoiding the month of September, because this is when rainfall typically spikes. However, if you don’t mind risking a little bit of rain, the weather is usually wonderfully sunny, with temperatures often reaching 34 degrees celsius!

About the culture:

Mexicans are very hospitable people and their culture is inflected with elements of Western culture and their more Hispanic roots. Expect Western style comforts and luxuries, but with a charming Hispanic twist – creating an elegant fusion that will will enrapture you and your partner.

What we love:

The beaches and the food. Miles and miles of sandy havens stretch out on to transparent, clear blue waters. Meanwhile, the food is fresh and light: think guacamole, fajitas, ceviche, tacos and incredible sunsets.
