Why Malaysia?

Malaysia is almost two countries in one, the peninsula offers a varied mix of cultures for a Malaysia honeymoon. From Malay to India, colonial influences, a modern and cosmopolitan capital and fine beaches such as Langkawi, you will not be disappointed. Borneo is renowned for its rich and often unique wildlife, tropical rainforests and remote tribes, and it also offers fine beaches around Kota Kinabalu. Also on the island of Borneo to the south is the region of Sarawak, home to the Iban tribe with their famous longhouses.

Key information

Malaysia is the country that has it all. From luscious beaches, to cosmopolitan cities, to humid jungles to rolling tea plantations, Malaysia honeymoon is the perfect getaway.

About the activities:

Any honeymoon has to be enjoyed with a considerable amount of relaxation. Therefore, look no further than the stunning Perhentian Islands, Langkawi or Tioman Island for beach chilling and cocktail sipping. If you’re looking for something more active, there are amazing trekking options in the 130 million year old Taman Negara jungle and in Borneo – where you can spend time with the orangutans.

About the climate:

January – April: Malaysia is a wonderful year-round honeymoon destination, and is increasing in popularity among brides who want a romantic, unique trip. During January, February, March or April, you can expect peak temperatures of 34 degrees, so prepare yourself for some serious sun!

May – August: For couples who want to explore a stunning country in the sun, Malaysia is a fabulous choice of honeymoon destination. In the months of May, June, July or August, temperatures can reach 33 degrees celsius, so this is definitely a destination for a couple who love hot weather.

About the culture:

Malaysia is a fascinating amalgamation of different cultural influences. Large Chinese and Indian populations have blended with the local Malay people to create an incredibly vibrant and diverse country – and this element spills over into every aspect of Malaysian life – be it with regards to food, religion, sports or cultural practices.

What we love:

The food. As a result of the fusion of different cultures in Malaysia, the country offers fantastic Indian, Chinese and Malay food, all at very affordable prices.
