About The Selman
The privately run Selman Marrakech hotel is an intimate haven of consummate beauty for discerning travellers. The six hectare estate is situated at the foot of the Atlas Mountains, only ten minutes away from Marrakech’s bustling medina. Lined with palm trees, the Moorish palace and its extensive grounds are an oasis of tranquility. The graceful thoroughbred Arabian horses provide unforgettable memories. The Selman Marrakech lays claim to being one of the best hotels in Morocco. It elegantly combines a feel for genuine luxury with the warm hospitality that the country prides itself on.
The interior designer gathered together the best craftsmen from each sector and
created 30 Superior and Deluxe rooms, 20 Junior Suites, 6 Deluxe Suites and 5 riads. The riads feature one or two bedrooms, a private garden with heated pool and a round-the-clock butler service. Guests can indulge in delicious culinary dishes at the two exclusive restaurants at the Selman Marrakech.
The “Selman Restaurant” offers international cuisine, and Mediterranean delicacies are served in the “Pavilion Restaurant”. The three bars are the backdrop for laughter, flirting and dancing. The “Selman Bar” leads onto an extensive terraced area, the “Pavilion Bar” provides a view of the stables housing the thoroughbred Arabian horses and the “Pool Bar” is the centre of relaxed hustle and bustle.
The 1,200 m2 “Espace Vitalité Chenot” spa is a real feast for the senses. The philosophy of Henri Chenot and his unique and innovative treatments, on offer in hotels such as the Palace Merano, are highly regarded by spa connoisseurs from all over the world. At the heart of the spa is a central relaxation pool, surrounded by seven treatment rooms and four hydrotherapy rooms. Time just slips away in the various different saunas, Moroccan hammam, massage jet pools, fitness and quiet rooms, two heated pools and Jacuzzi. A private spa suite with its own steam bath is an exclusive opportunity to enjoy tranquility and privacy, particularly for couples.
The palatial Moorish stables, designed by Jacques Garcia, are a particular highlight. The living quarters of the 12 purbred Arabian horses, including nine award winning stud horses, are equipped with every comfort and are integrated subtly into the estate. Inside the estate, guest can enjoy watching the elegant creatures as they move about freely within the extensive paddocks. And it is often the case that guests visit their favourite thoroughbred in the stables every day for a quick “ chat”.
