Set in the highly sought after Naboisho Conservancy, Encounter Mara Camp gives guests access to some of the best wildlife viewing in East Africa.

The award winning camp is set in the shade of a thick forest with sweeping views out onto the traditional savannah that makes up much of the conservancy. As with nearby Naboisho Camp, the wildlife viewing is excellent year round and combined with the breadth of activities on offer and the comfort of a camp built to the highest eco standards, there are few more rewarding places to experience this slice of wilderness. Built in total harmony with the land, Encounter Mara is an authentic safari camp which blends seamlessly with the bush. Hidden away in a forest, it is not unusual to see a giraffe or zebra strolling through the camp. The 10 tents are spacious with panoramic views of the rolling savannah ahead, these views are best enjoyed from the hammock on the verandah. The main area is furnished in a simple, yet contemporary style which allows the views of the Maasai Mara ahead to take center stage. With the main area looking out at a salt lick which regularly attracts everything from big cats to plains game, it is easy to stay in camp for the day relaxing in the lounge with a cold drink in hand, watching the wildlife come to you.
