Frequently asked questions
Are you licenced for civil ceremonies?
Yes we are licensed for civil ceremonies, we have two function rooms that can hold civil ceremonies within them.
Do you charge corkage if we supply our own wine?
We charge a £500.00 corkage fee if you wish to bring your own drinks, this includes wine or prosecco and any spirits. Beer and larger must be purchased from the hotel bar.
Can we use our own caterers?
Yes, external caterers are allowed within the Hotel. The Hotel needs to ensure that it fully complies with the requirements of its insurers along with current Food Safety Regulations. As a result the Hotel requires additional information as listed below from your Caterers. • A current copy of your Caterers public and products liability each to the minimum value of £5 million. • A copy of the most recent Environmental Health Officers Food Hygiene inspection of your Caterers premises. • A copy of your Caterers Food Safety Policy and HACCP Plan. • Copies of your Caterers Health and Hygiene Certificates. • If food is due to be transported to the Hotel your Caterer must confirm in writing what transport is intended to be used along with confirmation of how the Food Safety (Temperature Control) Regulations 1995 will be complied with. All of the above requested information has to be received by the Hotel at least 7 days prior to your event. The Hotel would also like to highlight to your Caterers that under no circumstances will LPG or any other form of portable gas and or fuel be allowed on its premises whether for cooking purposes or otherwise.
What time does the reception need to finish?
Evening receptions are to be finished at 12:30pm and guest to be departed by 1:00am
Are fireworks allowed?
We do not allow fireworks on the premises at any point.
Is confetti allowed?
Yes you are welcome to bring confetti to your celebration.
Are candles allowed?
Yes we allow candles for your celebration.
Is there a honeymoon or bridal suite?
We have a suite available to book or king deluxe rooms available to book I you require something a little extra special for your stay.
Is there accommodation on site?
We have 131 rooms available within the hotel, if you have a number of guests wanting to stay over for your wedding then we can block some rooms out for your celebration under a set price and provide you with a code for guest to quote upon booking at the hotel. This enables guests to get a set rate for staying over for a wedding celebration
Is there additional accommodation nearby?
We have sister Hotels located nearby that we can check availability for you i if we do happen to be full on the night of your celebration.
