A countryside wedding venue near Scarborough this wedding venue caters for both wedding ceremony with breakfast and reception options too, meaning your day can be celebrated in one venue. The hotel also has guest accommodation (some dog friendly)
The Downe Arms Country Inn is licensed for civil ceremonies & we have a separate room for this event meaning your whole day can be hosted in one beautiful venue.
We have a beautiful outside patio area just off the main function room which offers the perfect space for welcome drinks and relaxation.
We have come up with some really fantastic Wedding Packages which take all the hard work out of wedding planning and just leave you the lovely bits to organise.

The Downe Arms has 12 very individual en-suite bedrooms, some with sumptuous Georgian windows others are more quaint with low beams and unusual arched windows; all of them offering you a charming, indulgent place to relax and enjoy. Yes we are licenced for civil ceremonies
Unfortunately we are not licenced for outdoor wedding ceremonies currently
There would be a corkage fee for supplying your own wine. Please do ask for more information
As far as possible (room availability dependant) we allow you into the room the day before to be able to decorate. If this is not possible due to an event the day before we would allow access first thing on the morning of and we would be on hand to help however we can
We do have a bridal suite which overlooks the beautiful village of Wykeham and has a four poster bed with en-suite bathroom
We have 12 bedrooms within the hotel, some of which can be used for family groups.
We can recommend some additional accommodation nearby (within walking distance)
Unfortunately due to our location we do not allow fireworks due to the animals nearby. You are more than welcome to have sparklers though and these can look amazing in photographs
