This Castle, Barn & Ruins in Whitby, offers you a unique wedding venue! Built in the early 1300’s our award winning historic wedding venue, is dedicated to delivering a unique experience. The Court Room is one of the indoor ceremony rooms & has a maximum capacity of 90 guests. The Barn is also available for a larger ceremony of up to 110 guests. The Barn is the perfect place for your Wedding Breakfast & evening celebrations. It holds 110 during the day and 140 in the evening or outdoor weddings

The Castle, Barn and Ruins are available as an exclusive setting for your wedding and reception. We are an approved premises to hold Civil Marriages and Civil Partnerships in either the Court Room, Jury Room and the Wheelhouse - which can be used for outside ceremonies.

Our beautifully restored original barn opened in October 2016 and together with the Court room and castle ruins enables us to offer a historic totally individual venue.

We consider all weddings and receptions to be as individual as each bride and groom and because of this we tailor every day to your requirements. We will meet with you and discuss your ideal day, themes, music and catering and then assist you to achieve your dream day. Danby Castle is such a versatile venue, providing a wide range of spaces which allow you to customise your day.
