The Cherry Barn is a beautifully restored 17th century oak-framed barn set on a working family farm where the owner’s family have lived for generations here in Rye, East Sussex. A wedding reception venue licensed for civil ceremonies inside & outside

An exclusive, 48-hour hire venue! Located in an area of outstanding natural beauty with 360 degrees of gorgeous views. The barn itself is absolutely stunning, keeping it’s rustic charm, but with amazing facilities, such as proper quirky bathrooms, a professional kitchen, a fantastic dance floor, an adjacent beautiful bridal prep room and so much more. It’s definitely not scoop the poop:-)
This is a place to make it your own and definitely not the cookie cutter model, i.e, all weddings at The Cherry Barn are unique and represent the couple! Bands and/or djs are very welcome, so are food trucks/vans. We have kept the bar together with the dance floor so the party does not split; we find that empty dance floors, because everyone is in another room drinking, is a waste of a good party.
Couples can legally marry indoors or pick two gorgeous outdoor locations. There is also the opportunity to marry in the local church, which is walking distance from The Cherry Barn.
We have some accommodation and allow glamping onsite. We are also surrounded by hotels, bnbs and airbnbs as this is a tourist destination. We’re a 5 minute drive from the medieval town of Rye; 15 minutes from Camber Sands and Winchelsea Beach. This area is an absolute dream.
We have compiled a list of incredible suppliers, to give you a head start, who will work around your style and budget. And of course, we will guide you in the right direction to have the best wedding ever!
