Can we have exclusive use of the venue?
Absolutely, we never mix events so everyone has exclusive use with flexible arrival and departure times.
Are you licenced for civil ceremonies?
Can we have the wedding ceremony outdoors?
Yes, the legal elements have to be done in a room with a licence
Do you charge corkage if we supply our own wine?
Needs to be discussed, drinks are a profit element to us, if we are providing the majority of the drinks then we could be flexible.
Can we use our own caterers?
If they are known to us and have an impeccable reputation. Too many small caterers and "friends of" the couple think it's simple to deliver perfectly presented food to a safe and outstanding standard. Your friends will never remember the caterer if something goes wrong, it will be our reputation which is at risk. This needs careful consideration.
From what time can we get access to decorate the venue?
Usually a couple of days before the Celebration by mutual arrangement.
What time does the reception need to finish?
You can stay partying without amplified music until anytime. Staff are paid up till midnight so overtime will be payable. The size of your group will determine the amount of the charge.
Are there noise restrictions if we have a live band?
Normal and reasonable applies.
Are fireworks allowed?
Yes we have our own firework team
Is confetti allowed?
Biodegradable only. If non biodegradable is used there will probably be a cleaning fee.
Are candles allowed?
Is there a honeymoon or bridal suite?
Yes, it's large enough to have 8 landrover discoveries in there, it's massive and from the preparation room all of your bridesmaids can relax whilst you are pampered.
Is there accommodation on site?
Yes we can accommodate upto 12 people in 5 doubles and a Bunk bed if required.
Is there additional accommodation nearby?
We run the local hotel and catering association and know all the best places to stay and can arrange transport if needed.

Saltcote Place has options for both indoor or outdoor wedding celebrations. We host anything from intimate weddings of 6 to lavish celebrations of 200, with full end to end management. We never run weddings back to back.
We never impose packages on our couples. Instead, our award-winning team, headed by the owners, Paul and Alan, will be on hand at every stage to help bring your dream wedding to life. Our incredible catering and events team will also work with you to develop a bespoke wedding perfect for you, keeping within your budget. We'll also give you your own wedding website to help with the planning!
As a private country home, we can accommodate between 12-14 guests on-site. We can also host up to 100 more guests in our nearby sister site, just a few minutes walk away.
Before you choose your wedding venue, make sure to look at their reviews and experience. As owners, we each have more than 30 years of experience attending to detail and it shows with our reviews. We are the only property in the UK with two 5* Gold Awards - some of the top London Hotels never achieve that. We have always had "Scores on the doors" (food hygiene) 5/5, again with many hotels never achieving that.
