Are you licenced for civil ceremonies?
Yes
Can we have the wedding ceremony outdoors?
A Blessing Ceremony can take place on the Back Lawn or in the Formal Gardens.
Can we use our own caterers?
We have a list of wonderful Caterers who have been approved to work in our Grade I Listed Venue.
From what time can we get access to decorate the venue?
Access is usually available from 12 noon the day prior
What time does the reception need to finish?
Guests will begin to depart from 11:00pm - 11:30pm.
Is confetti allowed?
Yes - please use natural/dried petals or bio-degradable confetti.
Are candles allowed?
No - but LED Candles work just as well to create a romantic atmosphere!
About Wollaton Hall
Wollaton Hall is a stunning Grade I listed 16th-century Elizabethan mansion set in 500 acres of natural parkland, perfect for a picturesque wedding in the heart of Nottingham.

After the ceremony, you and your guests can enjoy drinks and canapés in the Camellia House.
Our caterers will then serve a sumptuous wedding breakfast in the splendour of the Great Hall to begin your evening of celebrations. This room has wonderful acoustics for speeches, live music and choirs, making it ideal for your evening wedding reception.
The Salon is an elegant room with French windows opening onto the back lawn. This is the ideal spot for your guests to relax with a drink during your evening reception.
The Prospect Room, situated on the top floor of Wollaton Hall, is the perfect escape on your wedding day. This magnificent room has panoramic views over Nottingham and, with stunning architecture, it's the perfect room for intimate wedding photography.
The Back Lawn situated in the Formal Gardens is the perfect setting for a magnificent marquee, where you and your guests can enjoy your wedding breakfast and evening reception.
