Frequently asked questions
Are you licenced for civil ceremonies?
Yes, we have three licensed ceremony rooms. The Exeter Room for up to 60 guests, The Burghley Room for up to 120 guests, and our gorgeous outdoor Garden Pavilion for up to 120 guests.
Can we have the wedding ceremony outdoors?
Yes, you can say 'I Do' in our Garden Pavilion with up to 120 guests. But don't worry... an indoor ceremony room will be set up too, just in case.
Do you charge corkage if we supply our own wine?
We do not offer corkage on any alcoholic or soft drinks but we do have a huge range of wines available on our wine list so we are sure you will find something you love.
Can we use our own caterers?
Sadly not, all catering must be provided by us with the exception only of the wedding cake.
From what time can we get access to decorate the venue?
Access will be from 8am on the morning of the wedding.
What time does the reception need to finish?
The last song must be end at 11.45pm and the party must end at midnight.
Are there noise restrictions if we have a live band?
Live bands can play until 11pm.
Are fireworks allowed?
No
Is confetti allowed?
Yes, biodegradable and thrown outside only.
Are candles allowed?
Yes
Is there a honeymoon or bridal suite?
There is a complimentary honeymoon suite for all of our couples on the night of the wedding.
Is there accommodation on site?
We have 27 bedrooms, including the honeymoon suite.
Is there additional accommodation nearby?
Stamford has many hotels and B&Bs for your guests to stay in if required.
