About The Wellbeing Farm Ltd

The Wellbeing Farm venue offers you a fun, unique and sustainable farm-based barn wedding experience. We are the first B Corp certified venue in the country giving you the reassurance of the highest standards of social and environmental impact.

The Wellbeing Farm is a bespoke wedding venue with a difference, set in spectacular countryside. It was transformed from a neglected hill farm in 2013 into the perfect venue for couples looking for a wedding day that is unique, fun-filled and completely magical.

The rustic barn and wedding pavilion are the ultimate romantic setting to say “I do” and the farm’s bow-tie-wearing llamas, alpacas and flat cap-wearing donkeys join in the celebrations too – making it an unforgettable day!

The venue’s approach is to help make planning a wedding as stress-free as possible with wedding coordinators on hand to guide couples every step of the day – from finding the best room layout for you to liaising with photographers to get the best sunset shot – ensuring you really do get a wedding with the 'wow factor'.

We are famous due to our unique bowtie-wearing Llamas and our story has been published into a best-selling book!

FAQs

Absolutely, our Wedding Barn and Wedding Pavilion are fully licensed under Blackburn with Darwen Registry Office so please call them on 01254 588660 and check your date is available.

Yes. You will have exclusive use of the venue from 11am the day of your wedding and earlier by prior arrangement. Although you will have exclusive use of the venue (i.e. there will never be another function or wedding at the same time as your wedding at the farm), there may be another couple or guests staying in The Farmhouse who will have exclusive use of the venue on another date. To reassure you, the arrival times of any other couple staying in The Farmhouse are times and they have to sign strict terms and conditions which state that they are not allowed outside of The Farmhouse when another wedding or function is on, so you will never see the guests. To date we have had 15 couples staying in The Farmhouse, not one couple has ever said that they saw anyone else during their wedding apart from their guests.

Yes, this is something we’d love to help you with. We have a licensed Wedding Pavilion located on our front lawn which makes the most of the views and even has heating and lighting! Obviously this is weather dependent and even though you may dream to have an outside ceremony, if obviously the weather is bad or we have experienced excessive rain leading up to your wedding day which has made the fields so wet that your shoes will be ruined, unfortunately, you may not be able to have an outside ceremony. We will always discuss this with you and where possible we will make it happen for you. If the weather is awful, our fall-back position is to hold your ceremony in the Wedding Barn.

Only biodegradable confetti can be used at The Farm due to us having animals present – they’re hyper enough without any added sugar! The biodegradable petals are our preferred type of confetti we would ask you to use if possible. With the animals being free-roaming midweek it’s hard for us to keep track of what they’re picking up and eating! Confetti can only be thrown outside. Unfortunately, we do not allow confetti or petals to be thrown in the Wedding Barn – the reasons for this is later on when the party livens up, people can spill drinks and the confetti starts looking like a stodgy mess. Also we don’t have time during the turnaround from ceremony to the wedding feast to sweep up all the confetti which has been thrown.

Candles can only be used in the Wheatsheaf Bar as long as they are in a safe candle holder. Unfortunately, due to fire risks, we do not allow candles in the Wedding Barn but we do have the realistic fake candles for you to use

We have a Wedding House: Barons Farm (located around a mile away from the farm) which has 2 bedrooms and can sleep up to 6 people. We also have The Farmhouse (located in the middle of The Wellbeing Farm) which has three bedrooms and can also sleep up to 6 people. Please note the accommodation is subject to availability and is not automatically guaranteed for your wedding as another couple may have booked it already. We also supply clients with details for many local hotels/B&Bs we can put you in touch with cab/taxi companies too. Hotels and B&B’s are located on our website – we have included the approximate distance in miles for each accommodation provider from the farm.

We LOVE having dogs attend a couples’ special day and we will always accommodate this whenever we can. On most occasions, they will be brought up to The Farm just in time for the ceremony and then would be taken home shortly afterwards to allow you to enjoy the rest of your day.

Yes, as we need to store, chill, open, serve the wine and provide the glasses.

No, unless there are specific dietary requirements which our kitchen won't be able to offer for example some religious weddings.

From 9am - we will be so excited to help you!

1am the music and dancing has to stop.

No, but we may have to tell you to turn the noise down if the bar can't hear guests placing a drink order.

No sadly, as we are a working farm surrounded by sheep, horses and other animals.
