Our Sustainability Commitments

Being set amongst 300 acres of woodland the we practise a lot of sustainable practises to preserve the wildlife here at Longton Wood. We have bird and bat boxes around the woodland to provide habitats for nesting species. By clearing certain areas of dropped branches or dead tree we are encouraging regeneration. This wood is then used to crest beetle and bug banks as well as places for small animals to live particularly hedgehogs. We also plant mics for wild birds and butterflies within woodland clearings elsewhere around the woodland. We also limit the weddings we have in order to protect the site itself. Sustainability is very important to us we love to work with suppliers where this is part of their ethos also.
