FAQs

Absolutely! The Kirkwall Hotel is a relaxed yet grand venue. Exclusive will give you run of the hotel, but all 37 bedrooms will need to be taken for this to be possible.

As a Scottish wedding venue, we don't actually require a license! In Scotland it is the individual (e.g. the registrar) who holds the license, as opposed to the venue. With that in mind, we can host your wedding in one of our ceremony rooms, or we are just a stone's throw away from St Magnus Cathedral, Peedie Kirk, and the civil marriage hall, making your wedding seamless and convenient.

No, we do not have outdoor space at the hotel. But that's not to say that you can't elope to a fabulous clifftop of similar, and return to the hotel for your wedding breakfast! In Scotland you can get married anywhere (with the landowner's permission!)
