Frequently asked questions
Can we have exclusive use of the venue?
You are the only wedding that will take place with us on your wedding day. As we are a hotel we do have other resident guests that use the grounds, but they usually don't bother you much!
Are you licenced for civil ceremonies?
Yes, we certainly are and we have 5 rooms to choose from.
Can we have the wedding ceremony outdoors?
Not currently, but watch this space!
Do you charge corkage if we supply our own wine?
We unfortunately do not offer corkage as our All Inclusive Wedding Package includes 1/2 a bottle of wine per person during the Wedding Breakfast.
Can we use our own caterers?
All of the catering is provided by us on site.
From what time can we get access to decorate the venue?
Guaranteed access into the Arden Suite from 8am. Of course if we can get you in earlier we will do our best!
What time does the reception need to finish?
Half Past Midnight is when the bar shuts and evening entertainment needs to finish. Then all the guests are asked to leave at 1am.
Are there noise restrictions if we have a live band?
There are no noise limiters within our Arden Suite but we do monitor the noise for our neighbours and resident guests.
Are fireworks allowed?
As we are placed in a rural area we have lots of horse and livestock around so you wouldn't be able to have fireworks but we do allow sparklers - check out our beautiful sparkler photos.
Is confetti allowed?
Yes of course! We have some beautiful outside spaces where you can get some fantastic photos!
Are candles allowed?
Yes as long as they're battery operated.
Is there a honeymoon or bridal suite?
We have a Superior Room which is included in the package.
Is there accommodation on site?
Yes we have 110 bedrooms onsite. We reserve 20 bedrooms for your guests to book from which will be released back to sale 8 weeks before the wedding.
Is there additional accommodation nearby?
Yes, we would be happy to recommend other accommodation, but it is highly unlikely you will need it.

As you arrive through the ornate wrought-iron gates, New Place never fails to impress. This grade I listed house is a true masterpiece of brickwork: a home that combines Tudor and Elizabethan eccentricities with subtle, modern touches.
To this day, the mansion remains a place of breathtaking beauty and historic grandeur, but also warmth and personality. Whether it's your reception, your ceremony or both, we'll make sure your day is as individual, exciting and memorable as you have always dreamed.
We offer comprehensive packages all of which include the following: White Table Linen, Dance Floor, Hire of Cake Stand and Cake Knife, Complimentary Accommodation for the wedding couple, Master of Ceremonies - our Function Manager and more.
Our menus are only limited by your imagination as our Chef would be happy to discuss your ideas.
The Bristol Room & Dining Room both located within the Manor House are licensed to hold civil ceremonies & partnerships for up to 100 guests. The Arden Suite is located behind the house and is a separate building licensed for civil ceremonies for up to 150 guests. Alternatively for smaller ceremonies our Franklyn Room is licensed for 40 people and the Court is licensed for 40 guests and our Garden Room is licensed for 20 guests.
