Can we have exclusive use of the venue?
Yes you can
Are you licenced for civil ceremonies?
Yes, we have three licensed areas (our intimate panel room, panoramic restaurant and outside pagoda)
Can we have the wedding ceremony outdoors?
Yes, of course weather permitting, we are in the UK after all
Do you charge corkage if we supply our own wine?
Yes, we have our own bars on site, so we prefer use of our own alcohol
Can we use our own caterers?
We have all our own chefs to provide catering for canapes, wedding breakfast and evening buffet
From what time can we get access to decorate the venue?
We are open from 8am every day
What time does the reception need to finish?
Last orders are called at 11.30pm, carriages at midnight, there is an option to extend the bar closing hours for an extra cost
Are there noise restrictions if we have a live band?
No, as long as all rooms are booked by your wedding guests
Are fireworks allowed?
Unfortunately not due to being on National Trust land in the middle of Minchinhampton Common
Is confetti allowed?
Yes, we just ask that it is biodegradable due to being on common and National Trust land
Are candles allowed?
Yes we allow naked flame candles, we are open to most decoration ideas
Is there a honeymoon or bridal suite?
Yes we have a lovely honeymoon/bridal suite with a four poster bed and great views overlooking the common
Is there accommodation on site?
Yes we have 6 double bedrooms on site, we also own The Old Fleece (Woodchester) just down the hill which has on-site apartments
Is there additional accommodation nearby?
Yes we own The Old Fleece in Woodchester which has a range of apartments, there are also plenty of hotels nearby within a 10 minute tax drive

Set in the heart of Minchinhampton Common, Gloucestershire, this 400 year old hunting lodge, with spacious gardens and beautiful views across Stroud Valleys is the perfect place to escape the rush. Set against the backdrop of National Trust countryside, there is nowhere more relaxing to spend your wedding day.
The Old Lodge has a newly refurbished panoramic restaurant which seats up to 100 guests, a cosy bar, several smaller, more intimate rooms, including the panelled room and breakfast room and six tastefully decorated double bedrooms.
Our talented team have years of experience to deliver the greatest customer service and will be happy to show you our menu and package choices, or work with you to devise a bespoke menu and customised wedding plans.
We have lots of parking available for guests who are staying elsewhere, whether they are arriving by coach, taxi, car, helicopter, sleigh, horse or parachute! Our dedicated wedding planner is on hand to help you turn your dreams into a gorgeous reality and take care of any last minute touches. For your special day, nothing is too much trouble.
