The beautiful half-timbered Bell stands just across the street from Tewkesbury’s magnificent Abbey on the site of what was, in medieval times, its guest-house. After the Dissolution the old guest-house was briefly a tannery, but was rebuilt as The Angel Inn in the late 16th or early 17th century. Today its inviting atmosphere, mouth-watering food, cosy rooms and unique relaxed style of hospitality make The Bell Hotel a favourite with locals and visitors alike.
