Your wedding at Sudeley Castle will be in the most beautiful and historic castle and stunning grounds. You will be one of the lucky few able to get married at this exclusive venue, with only a limited number of weddings held here each year.
St Mary’s Chapel, dating from the 15th Century, sits within the heart of the gardens and is the resting place of Katherine Parr, the last wife of King Henry VIII. The beautiful building has the most wonderful uplifting atmosphere and couples are able to have their blessing ceremony with around 100 happy guests.
We also have 3 rooms licensed to hold a civil ceremony:
The Library - This small, private library is a treasure trove of fine art and priceless antiques and offers a perfect location for intimate civil ceremonies from between 2 and 50 guests.
The Pavilion – This large airy space with floor to ceiling glass walls can accommodate around 120 guests and has the most wonderful outlook across the Terrace to the Cotswold Hills beyond.
The Medieval Banqueting Room - Decorated with an impressive display of armour, featuring a roaring fire and can be magically lit by candlelight, accommodating around 100 wedding ceremony guests. Alternatively, our wonderful gardens offer you the opportunity to hold your blessing in one of the areas of the gardens that is right for you… perhaps in the spectacular Queens Garden, over-looking the Castle or surrounded by flowers in the walled and intimate Secret Garden.
Within the Castle and grounds we are able to provide spacious dining and celebration areas within the Banqueting Hall and the Terrace Pavilion to seat up to 120 people. For larger parties from 140 to 600, marquees can be positioned on our spacious lawns.
