Our dedicated wedding team, experienced wedding planners, and enchanting castle features - including 26 elegant bedrooms, award-winning gins and whiskies, and 34 acres of majestic gardens - create the ideal setting for your special day.
We host weddings for 2 to 150 guests. This includes elopement weddings, small weddings, grand celebrations, and exclusive use weddings.
Elopement Weddings:
For an intimate "I do," escape to Auchen Castle's turret. Experience a specially created seven-course menu with perfectly paired wines and have your pre-ceremony room for getting ready, a ceremony room, and a lovely wedding breakfast room. Elopement weddings at Auchen Castle are truly magical, whether it's just for two or with up to eight additional guests. Our wedding turrets can be decorated to your taste by our wonderful suppliers, ensuring your wish is their command.
Intimate / Small Weddings:
With our intimate luxury weddings, experience the castle and its grounds like never before. It's very rare to be able to have a small wedding in a big castle, but despite the grand stature of the Auchen Castle, we have plenty of smaller suites for smaller weddings; we call them 'Perfectly Petite'. All the luxury and grandeur of a castle wedding, with the intimacy of a small boutique hotel.

Absolutely! Auchen Castle is a showstopping venue. Exclusive use will give you run of the gardens, the castle, and all 26 bedrooms. For the ultimate Scottish castle wedding experience, we recommend exclusive use! We offer exceptionally competitive prices for exclusive use weddings.
As a Scottish wedding venue, we don't actually require a license! In Scotland it is the individual (e.g. the registrar) who holds the license, as opposed to the venue. This means that you can get married anywhere (with the landowner's permission!) With that in mind, we have complete flexibility on where you hold your ceremony - in the castle, the gardens, by the lake, or in the surrounding grounds.
Definitely! Outdoor weddings are available at Auchen Castle. You can get married in the Italian Garden, the surrounding grounds, or at the edge of the beautiful lake.
