About Tawstock Court
Tawstock Court is large Georgian country house and licensed wedding venue situated in 32 acres of grounds and woodlands, surrounded by the beautiful North Devon countryside. Contact us now for a brochure.
We offer a suite of rooms including period rooms and modern lounges within the main house as part of your exclusive use. The Panelled Hall (Max. 90 people) provides the perfect indoor space to say your vows and the 16th century Elizabethan Gatehouse is a lovely choice for a fine weather day. St. Peter’s Church is just a 2 minute walk away. The Old Refectory (Max. 108 people) is the perfect space for both your main wedding breakfast and evening entertainment which is connected to our licensed bar. We can accommodate up to 180 people for the evening celebrations. We allow you to choose your own professional caterers for your meals.
We have recently developed our Courtyard into a stunning space perfect for your evening celebrations with ambience lighting, plenty of tables and seating underneath a canopy of twinkle lights, a decking area and swinging chairs.
We have created four dwellings next to the main house with contemporary en-suite accommodation (B&B rate) for up to 48 of your guests and a lovely, spacious honeymoon suite. We are currently taking bookings for weddings both intimate and larger celebrations.

No, we are happy for you to party until midnight inside the venue, if it is outside then you can play music until 10.30pm.
Yes we allow whisper fireworks and sparklers and can recommend two professional fireworks companies to organise this for you.
Yes we love confetti! We just ask that it is all biodegradable as we like to look after the environment.
We allow lit candles as long as they are in a jar, lantern or container. You can buy some brilliant LED candles nowadays and they are very realistic if you just wanted an open flame look.
Yes, we have a beautiful honeymoon suite on-site complete with its own 'getting ready' area for the morning of your wedding.
Yes, we have 19 guest bedrooms and can accommodate up to 48 guests. This is B&B rate so you leave the next morning following a yummy Full English Breakfast.
Yes, we are only 2 miles outside Barnstaple where there are plenty of B&Bs, hotels and other accommodation.
