A “hidden gem” set amid the North Cumbrian Countryside that guarantees to provide your dream wedding day! Skitby is an award winning contemporary barn wedding venue that is licensed for civil ceremonies and can host your reception with full venue exclusivity! Ceremonies at Skitby can accommodate up to 130 guests and your evening celebration Reception wil allow a further guests, making our capacity 200.

The gorgeous ceremony room with a grand open fire place can accommodate between 80 and 100 of your wedding guests to see you say "I do". The Main Room can hold up to 96. The exposed beams and brick within The Main Room give a romantic and rustic feel to the setting, combine this with the contemporary features of the venue, and you get a really cool and chic wedding day atmosphere at Skitby.

Our team are dedicated to helping you plan a wedding day that is as unique as you are. So, we are on hand to help every step of the way. Our catering team pride themselves in delivering you and your guests a delicious and memorable meal to kick start your newly married life! Our wedding menus are created with hand-picked and locally sourced ingredients in mind and can be bespoke to each couple.

For the wedding reception and evening celebrations, we can accommodate up to 200 wedding guests at Skitby. Whether you want live music, a DJ or even a ceilidh, our event space is perfect for you and your guests to dance the night away.

We are located near the Scottish Borders and easily accessible from the M74 motorway and junction 44 of the M6. Private car parking is available here. If your guests are flying in, we are conveniently located just 6 miles from Carlisle Lake District Airport.
