Frequently asked questions
Are you licenced for civil ceremonies?
Yes, we have a number of function suites that are licenced to hold civil ceremonies.
Do you charge corkage if we supply our own wine?
Yes we do charge corkage, this would be discussed with the events manager at the time of booking.
Can we use our own caterers?
Unfortunately we do not accept outside caterers.
From what time can we get access to decorate the venue?
Usually from 2pm the day before your wedding day, however this is dependant on any other events happening within the hotel.
What time does the reception need to finish?
The reception finishes at midnight, however there is a residents bar that we offer as a late bar. Subject to availability.
Are fireworks allowed?
No.
Is confetti allowed?
Yes, this must be bio-degradable or fresh petals.
Are candles allowed?
Yes, as long as they are in a vase or jar that covers the flame.
Is there a honeymoon or bridal suite?
Yes, we have 2 bridal suites overlooking the beautiful Cornish countryside and famous 18th hole on the Jack Nicklaus golf course.
Is there accommodation on site?
Yes, we have 80 bedrooms and 19 newly refurbished holiday cottages. Terms and conditions apply.
Is there additional accommodation nearby?
There are one or two accommodation sights less than 5 miles from St Mellion Estate.
