We have a licence to carry out Civil Weddings in The George so you can enjoy your day under one roof. Our Reading Room is perfect for a more intimate affair accommodating 10 people for the ceremony or opt for a red carpet entrance to our Orangerie where we can comfortably seat 57 guests. There are also three churches, Anglican, Catholic and Methodist, within walking distance of the hotel if you are looking for a church wedding.

All our food is freshly prepared on the premises so we can create your own perfect food heaven. From delicious canapes, to 7-course dinners, we also have the expertise to create dishes from around the world so if your passion is Mediterranean, Asian or Antipodean we can satisfy your taste buds. We can also organise a barbeque in our private garden, for those who want something less formal.

We are happy to welcome your guests with a drink of your choice from an elegant glass of champagne to a creative cocktail, the choice is yours. We have an extensive wine list of over 100 different wines from around the world with new additions joining it when we discover them. You can also choose from 10 Champagnes to make your day truly special.

We have 12 beautiful bedrooms so you if you don’t fancy a journey home you can rest your head on one of our super soft pillows.
