Set in an elegant estate of 40 acres, a few minutes' walk from Bedford Town Centre, Bedford School offers a unique environment for your wedding reception. A truly magnificent setting steeped in history and tradition with the impressive main School building at its heart.

The School estate combines traditional architecture with state of the art buildings to provide a superb choice of historic and contemporary settings. The immaculately groomed tree-lined grounds with their shrubs and borders provide a glorious backdrop for photographs. Bedford school offers a choice of superb rooms, all of which are licensed for civil ceremonies.

The Great Hall, located on the first floor of the main building, can seat up to 220 people for banqueting. The Hall provides a unique and elegant setting for a wedding with four large stone arched windows that flood the room with light and provide a pleasing vista across the School playing fields. The sophisticated light wood interior of the Great Hall delivers a simple elegant setting with the flexibility for you to add your own decorations and adorn the room to your taste.

Bedford School’s historic Chapel is available to members of the School community and Old Bedfordians for Weddings, as well as christenings and remembrance services.
