About Wilde & Romantic

Wilde & Romantic specialises in imaginative, alternative and award-winning venue styling and has the largest selection of authentic vintage china, props and furniture available to hire in Cumbria. We also hire out traditional fete games.

Wilde & Romantic is located in the heart of Cumbria ...The Lake District and we have a showroom crammed full with vintage props, vintage china and furniture. We cater for all types of weddings ~ elegant, classic, boho, rustic and country style ~ in all types of venues.

We also offer a venue styling service and we can create a unique, artistic and atmospheric setting for your wedding. Venue Styling gives access to my personal collection of vintage ornaments, jewellery and accessories not usually available for general hire.

We cover all of Cumbria and parts of surrounding counties.

We used Wilde & Romantic to hire a few decor items to take our DIY barn wedding to the next level, unfortunately, the heavy rain meant the croquet didn't make it out but the arch and other items were beautiful. Janet was fab to deal with...especially as I originally made my booking for the month before my actual wedding and kept changing things! Thank you so much 😊

Would just like to say a massive thank you!
Even tho we couldn't use the fete games...(weather was not the best) everything else made our day look like the rustic french setting I had always wanted! the service we received was amazing.....thank you again xxxx

We hired outdoor games and rugs for our countryside wedding. These were the perfect addition to our day as while we did photos our guests sipped champagne and played croquet in the sun. Janet was beautiful to deal with and made the whole process stress free which is all a bride can ask for!!!

We hired a number of items for our wedding from Wilde & Romantic including lawn games. This was a perfect addition for our sunny wedding day. The service was excellent and Janet has so many quirky items to choose from. Highly recommended.

Janet went above and beyond to make my vision a reality and I think it’s safe to say it exceeded all of mine and clives expectations. Janet is a perfectionist and it truly shows. We honestly could not recommend her work any more. She even made sure we had a little bit of October at our May wedding as we requested :). Perfect.
